New data protection regulations became effective as of 25 May 2018 upon enactment of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. One of the core concerns of this regulation is data processing transparency. Purposes and Legal Grounds of Data Processing
inpotron Schaltnetzteile GmbH processes your personal data in consideration of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant legislation, i.e. exclusively
- for the fulfilment of contractual obligations (article 6, section 1, paragraph b, GDPR).
Data is processed in order to execute a contract which has been entered into with you, or in order to take the steps required prior to entering into a contract with you after receiving your RFQ.

- Within the context of balancing interests (article 6, section 1, paragraph f, GDPR)
Insofar as necessary, we process your data above and beyond the purpose of contract fulfilment for the safeguarding of our own legitimate interests or those of third parties.

• Advertising, insofar as you have not objected to the use of your data
• Enforcement of legal claims and for the purpose of defence in the case of legal disputes
• Detection and elimination of misuse, as well as prevention and investigation of criminal offenses
• Assurance of IT security and reliable IT operations at inpotron Schaltnetzteile GmbH

- On the basis of your consent (article 6, section 1, paragraph a, GDPR)
Insofar as you have issued consent to us for the processing of your personal data for specific purposes (e.g. use of your e-mail address for sending our newsletter), the lawfulness of such processing is assured on the basis of your consent. Issued consent can be withdrawn at any time. This applies as well to the withdrawal of declarations of consent issued before enactment of the GDPR, i.e. before 25 May 2018. Withdrawal of consent has no effect on the lawfulness of data processing conducted up to the point in time of withdrawal.

Collection of Personal Data During Visits to Our Website
If you use our website, even if you don’t register or otherwise provide us with any information, we only collect the personal data which your browser transmits to our server. Categories of Receivers of Personal Data
Those departments at inpotron Schaltnetzteile GmbH which require personal data in order to complete their tasks have access to them.
We only forward your personal data to the freight forwarder who has been commissioned to deliver goods, insofar as this is required for shipping purposes. We forward your payment data to the credit institute which has been commissioned to process payment.
We do not forward your personal data to any third parties unless we are legally required to do so or you have provided us with prior consent.

 
Duration of Data Storage
Fundamentally, we delete your personal data as soon as they are no longer necessary for any of the above-mentioned purposes, insofar as we are not obligated to retain such data in order to fulfil legal accountability and retention requirements (commercial law, tax law, fiscal code). Mandatory retention periods of up to 10 years apply. We only retain personal data beyond this limit in individual cases in connection with claims made against our company (legal statute of limitations of up to 30 years).
